FAQ

Why should I enter?

The NVAs have long been one of the most well-respected shortlists in the creative industry.
The major benefits of being featured are getting recognition for your cutting-edge work, adding weight to your resume, justifying a promotion, getting discovered for the next gig—or your first—sharing your work with the global design community on PRINT, and joining the prestigious NVA list of alumni. And—a trophy. Who doesn’t love a trophy?!

NVA Submissions

Work submitted for this program traditionally includes a vast and broad spectrum—graphic design, packaging design, industrial design, product design, type design, illustration, animation, exhibition design, wayfinding design, and more. There are no exact parameters, except that you must have created it.

What is the judging criteria?

Entries are judged using a point system based on how well the submitted work and your two submission statements meet three attributes: originality, innovation, and overall execution. The results will determine the 20 New Visual Artist designations. The readers of PRINT will then vote to select the People’s NVA from amongst the 20 NVA recipients.
